The wide range of services provided by TAPSS for the frail, aged and younger
people with disabilities of the district would not be possible without the work of
a large group of volunteers who donate their services.
Volunteer contribution is significant at TAPSS where people often seek to
transfer their skills gained in earlier employment, or to develop new interests,
beyond a life of paid work. The average age of TAPSS volunteers is 66. We
are always recruiting new volunteers and have a volunteer coordinator
working 2 days a week.
