DOMESTIC ASSISTANCE
Home Help provides a range of services in your home to enable you to live
independently in a safe, comfortable and clean environment, services include
tasks such as housekeeping, bed stripping and remaking, vacumming and
wet areas cleaning.

PERSONAL CARE
Personal Care is available for people who wish to maintain their independence
and privacy at home, but need assistance with the essential tasks of daily
living, such as bathing, getting dressed and grooming.
Assessed on need.

PODIATRY SERVICES
Fortnightly.
Fee for this service.
IN-HOME RESPITE
This service offers you an interval of rest or relief while you are caring for
a loved one who is elderly or has a disability.
This is an important service, which gives the primary carer the opportunity to
relax and rejuvenate without the person they care for needing to enter a
residential care facility.
A carer will come to your home to provide care while you have a break.
Currently limited to 4 hours per week dependent on assessed need.
No overnight or weekend care.
Fee for this service applies.
SOCIAL SUPPORT
This service is provided by paid professional carers, volunteers and
coordinated by TAPSS, to assist clients to participate in the community.
It involves social visiting, shopping,assistance with bill paying, writing letters or going to the library.
This service is usually provided one-on-one.
Currently limited to 1.5 hours per week depending on assessed need.
CENTRE BASED DAY CENTRE
This service provides Centre based respite opportunities for regular socoialising, outings, activites and
respite for carers. This service is provided by professional staff. Transport is provided to and from
centre, morning tea and lunch provided.
Client hours for Day Centre is 9.30am - 2.30pm.
Clients require an assessment before attending.
There is a fee for this service.
SHOPPING BUS
This service is provided by a mix of paid staff and volunteers.
Clients must be able to shop independently. Support workers can assist with carry of shopping. Clients must be able to get on and off bus with minimal assistance. Fee for Service
OTHER SERVICES TAPSS Provide
Transport
This service is provided by volunteers and is co-ordinated through TAPSS.
Volunteers can also assist with shopping for clients.
TAPSS require 24-48 hours notice to co-ordinate transport.
Volunteers may wait and provide return transport if the appointment is only 10 minutes, but they can not be expected to wait at a Doctors.

Home Maintenance & Garden Maintenance
This service is provided by a mix of paid workers and volunteers. Our team assist with pruning, weeding and minor repairs
such as changing light bulbs and placing bulk rubbish on the verge for bulk pick-up. This service is extremely limited.

Meal Preparation
TAPSS offer assistance with meal preparation to clients who find they are having difficulty with aspects of cooking but
would still like to prepare their own meals.
Assessment required prior to service, including dietary requirements and safety issues in relation to providing meals.

Social Outings and Support
Small social groups (8 - 10) are available to clients to enable clients to participate in activities in the community. Excursions
are arranged by TAPSS staff with transport included.
